About Counselling
Counselling offers a confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. As a counsellor I will not analyse you, tell you what to do or prescribe a course of action to you. Instead my aim is to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and your experience.
What I offer
About me
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling. My way of working is rooted in the principles of the person-centred approach, however, every client's journey is unique and I also draw on aspects of psychodynamic and existential counselling and mindfulness-based approaches in response to what emerges in our work together.
Before starting in private practice, I worked with adult clients in community services, a drug and substance misuse support agency and a bereavement service.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), whose code of ethics I follow.
