“We can choose the lens we look through but the context of supervision offers us the space to inquire into the way how we are looking.”
Robin Shohet - In Love with Supervision
WHAT SHAPES MY SUPERVISION PRACTICE?
I’m an experienced integrative counsellor and draw on contemporary person-centred experiential, psychodynamic and relational approaches in my work. Currently I am completing my supervision training at the Centre for Supervision and Team Development London as well as a Diploma in Supervision for Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression at Metanoia Institute.
Supervision is an essential professional requirement for counsellors and psychotherapists to sustain good practice throughout their working life. It is a regular and ongoing opportunity to reflect in depth about all aspects of their practice and support the personal resourcefulness required to undertake the work.
My own experience of supervision has been that of a uniquely collaborative and supportive space to pause and bring curiosity to my counselling practice and way of being as a counsellor. It has enriched my work and broadened my understanding and perspective of my work - and continues to do so.
PERSPECTIVES AND EXPERIENCE I BRING TO MY WORK AS A SUPERVISOR
-
A contemporary integrative view of person-centred experiential counselling that looks to explore the common ground with psychodynamic, phenomenological and relational approaches.
-
Licensed Practitioner of Person-Centred Counselling for Depression, an NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) approved modality, completing specialist training to supervise PCE-CfD practitioners and practitioners in training
-
Experience of working a private practice alongside working in an NHS-commissioned counselling service
-
Supervision in deutscher Sprache für muttersprachliche und bilinguale Therapeut:innen und Fachkräfte in helfenden Berufen sowie weiteren professionellen Tätigkeitsfeldern
HOW I OFFER SUPERVISION
While I'm completing my training I offer supervision at a reduced rate of £35 per 50 minutes until November 2026.
I offer supervision in person (NW5 or SE15) and online. As in counselling, I believe that the strength and quality of the supervisory relationship is key for us to be able to make the most of the supervision space for you. I therefore usually offer supervision on a regular, fortnightly basis.
Please get in touch to find out about availability.
